Parramatta City Council first in NSW to retro fit secure bicycle parking

Cyclists in Parramatta have something to cheer about, with the installation of two new secure bicycle parking facilities in Horwood Place and Erby car park centres.

Each secure bicycle storage area includes bicycle racks, change room, shower and toilet facilities, secure lockers for storage of personal items, and the installation of CCTV and swipe card access systems.

A smart fortwo coupe valued at $22,000 was given away yesterday to celebrate the refurbishment of four Secure Parking managed car parks in Parramatta’s CBD.

The winner, Rosa Bellissimo from Stanhope Gardens, was handed the keys to her new ride by Parramatta City Lord Mayor Paul Barber and Secure Parking CEO Garth Mathews at a ceremony held in Parramatta Church Street Mall.

Secure Parking (Secure) has had their contract to manage the massive car parking facilities at Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) renewed, following a formal re-tendering process.

Secure will continue to manage 14 Sydney Olympic Park Authority parking sites, attached to the key sporting venues as well as the corporate centre, which it has managed since 1998.
